Step 01

Development and deployment of independent equipment to provide open internet access in Iran.

Each time the Iranian government has shut down the internet and communications, it has carried out widespread killings and violent crackdowns on protesters. By installing and operating independent systems that connect directly to the open internet, we must remove the Islamic Republic’s ability to control or restrict access to information.

Step 02

Design, development, and user training for tools that bypass the Islamic Republic’s internet filtering systems.

Step 03

Design and development of independent communication software that cannot be controlled or shut down by the Islamic Republic

Decentralized communication systems—such as independent messaging and chat applications—must be developed in a way that makes government control or filtering impossible. Every individual in Iran should be able to deploy a secure and independent communication tool for themselves and their community with minimal technical knowledge. These nodes must be capable of connecting and interacting with one another, forming a large decentralized network that cannot be controlled, censored, or disrupted.

Step 04

Supporting and expanding decentralized servers to increase the capacity and traffic of VPN services such as Psiphon, enabling free access to the open internet for people in Iran.

Network‑scaling tools like Conduit must be expanded. By developing simple installation and deployment methods for decentralized Conduit servers—or similar protocols—ordinary users in Iran should be able to access the open internet easily and at no cost. This solution is especially effective during periods when the internet is not fully shut down, helping protect the security of people’s communications and creating significant challenges for government surveillance systems.

Step 05

Training in secure communication methods over the internet and similar networks.

We must work to educate people on safe communication practices and essential security principles. Given the large number of internet users in Iran and the continuous monitoring by military and governmental systems, raising public awareness is critically important. Proper education can prevent the exposure of personal information and play a vital role in protecting people’s security and privacy.

Step 06

Launching multilingual informational and educational websites to provide rapid, accurate updates on developments in Iran to the global community.

Transfer of equipment

Collecting and transferring computer systems and accessories from developed countries and delivering them to individuals in need in Iran.

One of our initiatives at Iranux is the collection of computer equipment in developed countries. After being tested and verified for proper functionality, these devices are stored in a designated facility and, once a sufficient quantity is gathered, they are shipped to Iran. The equipment is then distributed free of charge to students and others who are in need of reliable computer access.
